El modelo propuesto se plantea en terminos de caudales horizontales. Se incluye dentro de la expresion de friccion por fondo el concepto de radio hidraulico utilizado en la hidraulica de canales, con el fin de que el modelo refleje el efecto de la fricci\u00f3n de las paredes laterales en canales con poco ancho en comparacion con la profundidad.  finalmente el modelo resultante es un modelo bidimensional integrado en la vertical, donde se aplican dos sistemas de ecuaciones, uno en la direccion x, y otro en la direccion y. Cada caudal de cada elemento se relaciona con los cuatro caudales de su alrededor, y se llega la planteamiento de un sistema de ecuaciones de n por n, el cual es resuelto para cada instante
