Estos procesos parecen fundamentarse en la interaccion especifica de proteinas de las membranas vesiculares (v-snares) como sinaptobrevina y plasmaticas (t-snares) como sintaxina y snap-25 para producir el \u00abatraque\u00bb vesicular y la liberaci\u00f3n regulada por ca2+ de los contenidos de neurotransmisores u hormonas. En esta tesis se ha empleado la toxina botul\u00ednca a para definir la funcion de la proteina snap-25 en el proceso secretor de la c\u00e9lula cromafin (libera catecolaminas al torrente sanguineo en respuesta a situaciones de estr\u00e9s o de peligro). Ademas se han empleado herramientas moleculares como la sobre-expresion de formas alteradas de snap-25 de forma que nos permiten estudiar la funci\u00f3n de otras regiones de la proteina fuera de la zona de proteolisis inducida por la toxina.  la combinaci\u00f3n de estas herramientas moleculares con tecnicas de alta resoluci\u00f3n temporal y espacial para la monitorizacion de la neurosecreci\u00f3n como es la amperometria y la formacion de complejos de fusi\u00f3n \u00abin vitro\u00bb nos ha permitdo inferir la participaci\u00f3n de esta proteina en distintas etapas de las cascadas de secreci\u00f3n, desde el atraque vesicular hasta el proceso fusi\u00f3n propiamente dicho.
