Este trabajo parte de la hipotesis de que tanto las estrategias de adaptacion desarrolladas por las plantas frente al estres por nacl, como los propios da\u00f1os provocados por la salinidad se ejercen principalmente a nivel de las membranas, estudiandose el efecto del nacl sobre la actividad del enzima h+atpasa y el bombeo de h+ asociado a la hidrolisis de atp en plasmalena y tonoplasto de raices de ambas plantas. Asi mismo, se analiza el efecto de la sal sobre componentes lipidicos y sobre parametros indicativos de la fluidez de dichas membranas. Los resultados obtenidos indicaron que la salinidad no afecta a las propiedades cineticas de la h+ atpasa de plasmalema de girasol y jojoba; mientras que, a nivel del tonoplasto de jojoba, provoca un incremento en la actividad fosfohidrolitica, sin cambios en el transporte de h+ dependiente de atp. Por otra parte, los estudios de anisotropia de fluorescencia, determinantes de una mayor fluidez de las membranas de jojoba que de girasol, y de un efecto rigidificante del nacl sobre el tonoplasto de jojoba, en su conjunto, justifican, las diferencias agronomicas encontradas en ambas plantas en lo que respecta a su tolerancia a la salinidad.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
