Aunque la filosofia utiliza un discurso con un estilo mas argumentativo y su objeto es distinto, con frecuencia recurre a figuras literarias. Arist\u00f3teles estudia tales figuras en \u00abretorica\u00bb y \u00abpoetica\u00bb.  esta tesis revisa los contenidos de estos libros aristot\u00e9licos con la finalidad de indagar como se construyen los distintos discursos. Basado en lo anterior, el proposito de la investigaci\u00f3n es exponer lo que se ha denominado \u00abteorias aristotelicas del discurso\u00bb y explicar la funci\u00f3n de los modelos retorico y poetico como indispensables en todo discurso y, en especial, en el filos\u00f3fico. los discursos ret\u00f3ricos y poeticos tienen una doble funci\u00f3n: por una parte, ornamental y, por otra, cognitiva. Ornalmental porque el discurso debe estar bien dicho y seguir cierto orden; cognitiva porque todo discurso comunica y, en varios casos, persuade.  para lograr el prop\u00f3sito anterior se estudia, en primer lugar, las estructuras l\u00f3gicas de la ret\u00f3rica y la poetica. En segundo lugar, se analizan diversas cuestiones relacionadas con la composici\u00f3n del discurso. La tesis tiene cuatro capitulos. El primero trata sobre argumentaci\u00f3n ret\u00f3rica; el segundo plantea la posibilidad de una argumentaci\u00f3n poetica; el tercero se refiere a la elocuci\u00f3n poetica y ret\u00f3rica,
