Bego\u00f1a <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En el presente trabajo se ha aislado de aguas residuales de la comarca de gernika, un microorganismo que biodegrada fenol y lo emplea como \u00fanica fuente de carbono y energ\u00eda. Este microorganismo se ha identificado como rhodococcus erythropolis y a la cepa se ha denominado upv-1. Estudios posteriores han permitido carcterizar su capacidad para biodegradar fenol. Los estudios se han llevado a cabo empleando biomasa bacteriana tanto en estado libre como inmovilizada sobre dos soportes s\u00f3lidos (biolite y tiera de diatomeas) en sistemas discontinuos, semicontinuos y continuos.
