Jose <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En esta tesis se analiza la relacion entre metodos de ense\u00f1anza y adquisicion lexica en tres niveles educativos no universitarios. Como uno de los propositos de la investigacion fue el contrastar los resultados obtenidos en las palmas de gran canaria con los arrojados por la investigacion realizada en puerto rico en 1991, decidimos emplear la misma metodolog\u00eda.  para realizar la investigacion, seleccionamos dos centros: un colegio publico de egb (el colegio de practicas de la escuela universitaria de formacion del profesorado de ense\u00f1anza general basica) y un instituto de bachillerato ( el i. B. Isabel de espa\u00f1a), ubicados ambos en la misma zona, en el centro de las palmas de gran canaria. La situacion de los centros en la ciudad determina, en gran medida, el que el nivel sociocultural mas ampliamente representado sea el medio.  elegimos tres niveles educativos: septimo de egb (penultimo curso de la ense\u00f1anza general basica), primer curso de bachillerato (bup) y el curso de orientacion universitaria (cou). Es necesario recordar que en tercero de bup no se imparte la asignatura de lengua espa\u00f1ola y, por lo tanto, tuvimos que descartar de antemano la eleccion del tercer curso. Cuando empiezan el curso academico las edades medias de los alumnos de los cursos que estudiamos son 12, 14 y 17 a\u00f1os respectivamente.  cada centro nos asigno los grupos. Por esa razon, el numero de alumnos que integra cada nivel, asi como la distribucion de los componentes masculino y femenino, depende del centro respectivo y no estuvo en nuestra mano ningun tipo de decision.  la muestra estuvo integrada por 254 sujetos, los alumnos de septimo de egb suman 71, 92 alumnos integraron la muestra de primero de bup (36.2%) y 91 la del curso de orientacion universitaria (35.8%). Por los datos se ve que las proporciones de cou y de primero de bup son muy parecidas, mientras que el porcentaje de septimo de egb es inferior.
