La memoria presenta un primer cap\u00edtulo dedicadoa la revisi\u00f3n bibliogr\u00e1fica y un segundo cap\u00edtulo en el que se detallan los materiales y m\u00e9todos utilizados a lo largo de la experimentaci\u00f3n. Aspectos metodol\u00f3gicos concretos son especificados en cada uno de los cap\u00edtulos. En el cap\u00edtulo tercero se presentan los resultados de un estudio de caracterizaci\u00f3n de las aguas residuales urbanas de a coru\u00f1a y entorno. El cap\u00edtulo 4 recoge los resultados del primero de los trabajos realizados,consistente en el pretratameitno hidrol\u00edtico a nviel de laboratorio de un efluente residu al urbano. Siguen los cap\u00edtulos 5 e 6 dedicados a la granulaci\u00f3n en digestores uasb, tambi\u00e9n a escala de laboratorio, su objetivo fue el estudio de la granulaci\u00f3n del lodo durante el tratamiento de efluentes diluidos, uno de ellos sint\u00e9ticos y formado por sacarosa (cap\u00edtulo 5), mientras que el otro se correspond\u00eda con efluente del digestor hidrol\u00edtico de laboratorio, suplementado con sacarosa como co-sustrato. Finalmente, el pretratamiento hidrol\u00edtico se llevo a escala piloto para tratar in situ un efluente residual urbano a temperatura ambiente, empleando una planta de cerca de 1 m3 de capacidad.  los resultados son alentadores para la aplicaci\u00f3n de esta tecnolog\u00eda a los efluentes residuales urbanos y mixtos.
