(ii) estudiar las caracter\u00edsticas cl\u00ednicas de los pacientes disp\u00e9pticos con sesibilizaci\u00f3n a a. Simplex y\/o infecci\u00f3n por h. Pylori.  (iii) investigar los factores de virulencia de h. Pylori y su relaci\u00f3n tanto con los hallazgos histol\u00f3gicos como con la resistencia antibi\u00f3tica. para ello se realiz\u00f3 un estudio prospectivo sobre pacientes disp\u00e9ticos en los que se determin\u00f3 la presencia de infecci\u00f3n por h. Pylori, y la sensibilizaci\u00f3n a s. Simplex mediante immunoblotting, incluyendo la determinaci\u00f3n de la prote\u00edna ani s 1, espec\u00edfica de dicho par\u00e1sito. Los resultados obtenidos fueron: la preValencia de infecci\u00f3n por h. Pylori, en dichos sujetos fue de un 79,3%, mientras que para los anticuerpos frente a a. Simplex fue de un 23,6% y para la prote\u00edna ani s 1 13,8%. Las preValencias de dichas infecciones se incrementaron con la edad para disminuir significativamente en pacientes mayores de 64 a\u00f1os. Se detect\u00f3 una mayor seropreValencia de a. Simplex en relaci\u00f3n con el consumo de tabaco y alcohol, y con la ingesta de pescado crudo, en vinagre y ahumado. La sensibilizaci\u00f3n a a. Simplex se asoci\u00f3 con cuadros de dispepsia funcional en pacientes que persist\u00edan con s\u00edntomas g\u00e1stricos tras la erradicaci\u00f3n de la infecci\u00f3n por h. Pylori. el \u00fanico factor que se relacion\u00f3 con la presencia de manifestaciones cl\u00edncias, tanto g\u00e1stricas como al\u00e9rgicas, en pacientes con anticuerpos frente a a. simplex fue el consumo de pescado crudo.
