Todas estas proteinas son activadores\/reguladores del complejo apc\/c (complejo promotor de la anafase\/ciclosoma). En este trabajo, demostramos que apcste9 induce especificamente la degradaci\u00f3n de las ciclinas mit\u00f3ticas cdc13 y cig1 pero no de la ciclina de fase s cig2. La funci\u00f3n de apcste9 no es necesaria para la degradaci\u00f3n de cdc13 y cig1 en la transici\u00f3n metafase-anafase pero si para la prote\u00f3lisis de estas dos ciclinas durante la fase g1 de ciclo celular. Por tanto, proponemos que la principal funcion de ste9 es inducir la degradaci\u00f3n de las ciclinas mitolicas cuando es necesario provocar un retraso o un bloqueo de la fase g1 del ciclo celular. Tambi\u00e9n se demuestra que ste9 est\u00e1 regulado negativamente mediante un proceso de fosforilaci\u00f3n dependiente de la quinasa cdc2. En la fase g1, cuando los niveles de actividad de los complejos cdc2\/ciclina son reducidos, ste9 se desfosforila, interacciona con el complejo apc y lo activa. Durante el resto del ciclo celular, la fosforilaci\u00f3n de ste9 induce su degradaci\u00f3n y, al mismo tiempo, provoca su disociaci\u00f3n del complejo apc. Este mecanismo de regulaci\u00f3n permite la inactivaci\u00f3n de cdc2 en la fase g1 y la impide durante el resto del ciclo celular.  en la segunda parte de este trabajo hemos identificado y caracterizado un nuevo regulador del complejo apc especifico de la meiosis. Mediante la meosis los organismos diploides con reproducci\u00f3n sexual generan los gametos haploides. En las levaduras, despues de la meiosis se produce la esporog\u00e9nesis mediante la cual cada nucleo haploide se encapsula en una forma de resistencia denominada espora.
