Xx quedaba restringida al \u00e1mbito industrial. La fundici\u00f3n art\u00edstica de escultura en espa\u00f1a comienza a emplear la t\u00e9cncia de la cascarilla cer\u00e1mica a partir de la labor docente desempe\u00f1ada por la universidad espa\u00f1ola, concretametne por la universidad de la laguna, de manos del dr. Juan carlos albaladejo, director del presente trabajo. a su vez, el responsable de la introducci\u00f3n de la t\u00e9cnica adaptada a la infraestructura del taller de un escultor a nivel europeo, mr. David reid, fue el origen directo del conocimiento y ense\u00f1anza en nuestra universidad. sin embargo, a pesar de conocer la t\u00e9cnica de modo pr\u00e1ctico, no exist\u00eda ning\u00fan texto en castellano que abarcar\u00e1 los aspectos hist\u00f3ricos, coneptuales y t\u00e9cnicos necesarios para una correcta comprensi\u00f3n de la t\u00e9cnica. La presente tesis doctoral trata todos estos aspectos desde la mirada e intereses del escultor contempor\u00e1neo, respetando as\u00ed la filosof\u00eda docente de los maestros de la t\u00e9cnica y constituyendo un tratado de aplicaci\u00f3n directa para los interesados en la pr\u00e1ctica de la cascarilla cer\u00e1mica. Se recupera la tradici\u00f3n renacentista de los tratados t\u00e9cncios escritos por escultores, al tiempo que se presenta un modelo metodol\u00f3gico de car\u00e1cter cient\u00edfico aplicado al
