Se han utilizado ejemplares de larvas, juveniles y adultos obtenidos del centro oceanografico de murcia, donde han sido mantenidos hasta su muestreo. Se ha estudiado en primer lugar el desarrollo general de la gl\u00e1ndula y la relaci\u00f3n existente entre la neurohipofisis y la adenohipofisis. Para la identificaci\u00f3n y caracterizaci\u00f3n de los distintos tipos celulares endocrinos se han realizado tecnicas inmunocitoquimicas de microscopia optica y electronica, utilizando anticuerpos obtenidos contra diferentes antigenos de mamiferos y de peces, y microscopia electronica convencional. Asi, se han descrito desde la eclosi\u00f3n con microscop\u00eda optica, celulas con somatolactina (sl) (inmunorreactivas a anti-sl), celulas mamosomatrotopas(ms) (inmunorreactivas a anti-gh y anti prl), celulas adrenocorticotropas(acth) (inmunorreactivas a anti-acth), celulas melanotropas(msh) (inmunorreactivas a anti-msh y anti-acth), celulas tirotropas (tsh) (inmunorreactivas a anti-tsh y anti-gth i). Se describen celulas con hormona del crecimiento (gh) (imnunorreactivas a anti-gh) y celulas de prolactina (prl) (inmunorreactivas a anti-gth i) a partir de los 2 dias de edad, celulas gonadotropas i (gth i)(inmunorreactivas a anti-gth i) a partir de los 22 dias de edad y en juveniles se describen las celulas gonadotropas ii(gth ii) (inmunorreactivas a anti-gth ii y anti-gth i). Cuando las celulas endocrinas aparecen por primera vez tienen una localizacion restringida en la glandula aunque posteriormente casi todas ellas aparecen en las tres regiones de esta (pars distalis proximal, pars distalis rostral y pars intermedia), siendo especialmente abundantes en la\/s zona\/s en que se describieron por primera vez. Durante el desarrollo, cada uno de estos tipos celulares endocrinos, a un ritmo determinado, adquiere la localizaci\u00f3n definitiva en la glandul<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de
