Concretamente se ha abordado el estudio de los siguientes pol\u00edmeros.  2,- la predicci\u00f3n de la solubilidad de gases en pol\u00edmeros cristalinos a partir del conocimiento de su estructura cristalina. Este \u00faltimo objetivo requirre el desarrollo de nurvas metodolog\u00edas te\u00f3ricas que permitan abordar el estudio de dicha solubilidad en fases altamente ordenadas.  para llevar a cabo el estudio de la microestructura de los pol\u00edmeros expuestos se han utilizado un gran n\u00famero de m\u00e9todos de simulaci\u00f3n computacional, en funci\u00f3n del tipo de propiedad f\u00edsica que se quisiera caracterizar.  los resultados obtenidos en la memoria presentada han permitido caracterizar completamente diferentes familias de pol\u00edmeros de origen natural  potencialmente biodegradables. Este punto es de especial inter\u00e9s puesto que permite seguir avanzado en la obtenci\u00f3n de materiales compatibles con el medioambiente y con un coste razonable.  a su vez, la posibilidad de poder predecir con un alto grado de precisi\u00f3n la solubilidad de gases en pol\u00edmeros, nos pemite presagiar el dise\u00f1o de pol\u00edmeros permeoselectivos, lo cual implica pdoer desarrollar
