Durante una serie de a\u00f1os se ha considerado que estas prote\u00ednas g estaban implicadas \u00fanicamente en los procesos que se suceden tras la estimulaci\u00f3n del recptor y la posterior generaci\u00f3n de segundos mensajeros. Sin embargo recientemente se ha demostrado que algunas de las subunidades a de las prote\u00ednas transductoras, en determinadas cirucunstancias, abandonan la membrana y alcanzan el cuerpo neural. En la presente memoria de tesis ponemos de manifiesto que tras su administraci\u00f3n in vivo, subunidades a de las prote\u00ednas g son transportadas a trav\u00e9s de las membranas neurales por un proceso dependiente de pkc siendo funcionalmente incorporadas a la cascada de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n, consiguiendo recuperar la actividad de los agonistas en sistemas de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n ga-deficientes. Como las prote\u00ednas g se han implicado en la patofisiolog\u00eda de un alto rango de des\u00f3rdenes neurales, los resultados indicados en este trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n ofrecen el potencial para el desarrollo de nuevas estrategias de tratamiento de patolog\u00e1is de receptor a nivel de prote\u00ednas g.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
