una colecci\u00f3n de sonatas para clave y\/o pianoforte de manuel narro, \u00faltimo organista de la catedral de Valencia en el siglo xviii, ha supuesto la revisi\u00f3n del concepto de sonata \u00abscarlattiana\u00bb que hasta el momento se ten\u00eda.  el hecho de que las obras contenidas en esta colecci\u00f3n povoten entre los dos estilos -el antiguo y el nuevo- plantea nuevas hip\u00f3tesis para debatir el controvertido tema del nacimiento de la sonata en espa\u00f1a y principalmente en Valencia, donde las sonatas de narro marcan un nexo necesario entre la obra de rodr\u00edguez monllor y la de su coet\u00e1neo rafael angl\u00e9s.  la variedad de modelos hallados en este corpus sonat\u00edstico -tanto desde una \u00f3ptima formal como estil\u00edstica- nos acerca a una de las muchas concepciones aunque, a tientas, ten\u00edan los compositores espa\u00f1oles sobre la sonata en el xviii, alej\u00e1ndonos de supuestos est\u00e9ticos reduccionistas que nos alinean, simplemente, con la sonata de cu\u00f1o scarlattiano.  en esta tesis se aborda el estudio, an\u00e1lisis, revisi\u00f3n, transcripci\u00f3n y catalogaci\u00f3n de la obra musical encontrada que ha permitido establecer las aportaciones hechas por manuel narro a la evoluci\u00f3n de la sonata dieciochesca en espa\u00f1a, as\u00ed como exponer, de forma contrastada, los \u00faltimos datos
