En el caso de la transcripci\u00f3n de los genes ribos\u00f3micos por rna pol i, especialmente mediante la aplicaci\u00f3n del pgra se ha podido establecer que la transcripci\u00f3n conlleva la disrupci\u00f3n de la estructura nucleosomal, ofreciendo dicha t\u00e9cnica un gran potencial de an\u00e1lisis de la cromatina ribosomal en diferentes situaciones metab\u00f3licas. De esta forma se ha determinado por primera vez en c\u00e9lulas de insectos dos tipos de cromatina ribosomal; una nucleosomal y otra no nucleosomal, adem\u00e1s, para un tipo celular concreto, la proporci\u00f3n de genes ribos\u00f3micos con cromatina abierta respecto a cerrada (s\/f), no var\u00e1i significativamente durante el desarrollo larvario ni en situaciones de inhibici\u00f3n transcripcional, aunque hay un moderado incremento en situaciones de activaci\u00f3n transcripcional. por el contrario, esta relaci\u00f3n var\u00eda considerablemente  dependiendo del tipo celular que se considere, pudi\u00e9ndose correlacionar con la actividad metab\u00f3lica del tejido, referida a s\u00edntesis de prote\u00ednas.  la presente tesis tambi\u00e9n se plante\u00f3 como una exploraci\u00f3n en el campo de la organizaci\u00f3n de la cromatina utilizando como modelo experimental las c\u00e9lulas politenizdas de larbas de chironomus y el pgra como abordaje experimental. La elecci\u00f3n de este modelo se basa, en gran medida, en las caracter\u00edsticas singulares  de unas estructuras presentes en los cromosomas polit\u00e9nicos de las gl\u00e1ndulas salivales conocidas como anillos de balbiani. utilizando la t\u00e9cnica citada, se ha podido determinar, que en los brs la actividad transcripcional altera la estructura nucleosomal, manifest\u00e1ndose por un incremento de la accesibilidad del psoraleno al adn.
