Desde el punto de vista farmacologico el parkinsonismo se caracteriza por deficiencia del neurotransmisor dopamina. Asi el tratamiento de esa dolencia requiere reponer los niveles cerebrales de dicho neurotransmisor. la domanina tal cual, no atraviesa la barrera hematoencefalica (bhe) y por tanto no lleva hasta el cerebro. Por ello, en esta tesis se presenta una nueva aproximacion basada en la utilizacion de derivados glicosilados del neurotransmisor que consiguiesen atravesar la bhe gracias al transportador de glucosa glut1 y una vez en el snc liberasen dopamina por la acci\u00f3n hidrolitica de enzimas cerebrales.  con el fin de explorar la validez de esta estrategia se han sintetizado una serie de glicoconjugados, se ha estudiado su estabilidad y su afinidad por el transportador de glucosa glut1. Finalmente, se han realizado estudios farmacologicos in vivo de los compuestos a fin de evaluar su capacidad como antiparkinsonianos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
