Las hip\u00f3tesis que se han puesto a prueba son: la hip\u00f3tesis del tiempo evolutivo, la hip\u00f3tesis de la heterogeneidad de h\u00e1bitats, la hip\u00f3tesis de estabilidad clim\u00e1tica, la hip\u00f3tesis de los disturbios a escala intermedia, la hip\u00f3tesis de la energ\u00eda ambiental, la hip\u00f3tesis de la favorabilidad-adversidad ambiental, la hip\u00f3tesis de la productividad, la hip\u00f3tesis del equilibro din\u00e1mico y la hip\u00f3tesis de la influencia humana. Se usaron los siguientes modelos: modelo lineal (univariante y multivariante), modelo polin\u00f3mico y modelo log\u00edstico m\u00faltiple. b) an\u00e1lisis de la composici\u00f3n espec\u00edfica. se han comprobado 12 hip\u00f3tesis relacionadas con 5 factores causales (edad geol\u00f3gica de las islas, proximidad interinsular, similitud de h\u00e1bitats, similitud clim\u00e1tica y actividad humana). Para ello se ha realizado un an\u00e1lisis de parsimonia de las distribuciones (apd), a partir de la generaci\u00f3n de un \u00e1rbol de clasificaci\u00f3n que representa la relaci\u00f3n esperada entre las islas de acuerdo a cada una de las hip\u00f3tesis explicativas, las cuales se compararon con el patr\u00f3n de distribuci\u00f3n que se obtuvo para las especies. La parsimonia de cada \u00e1rbol de clasificaci\u00f3n se midi\u00f3 seg\u00fan tres par\u00e1metros concretos: la longitud del \u00e1rbol, el \u00edndice de consistencia y el \u00edndice de retenci\u00f3n.
