El objetivo de esta tesis doctoral consiste en estudiar la reacci\u00f3n de descomposici\u00f3n del nh3 desde tres puntos de vista. En primer lugar, se ha realizado un estudio sistem\u00e1tico con diferentes catalizadores mono-met\u00e1licos soportados con el fin de conocer las propiedades \u00f3ptimas que deben de reunir en la reacci\u00f3n de descomposici\u00f3n del nh3. El segundo punto se ha enfocado en mejorar la conversi\u00f3n de los catalizadores, empleando un reactor catal\u00edtico multifuncional de membrana de pd (rcmm). Este tipo de reactores hacen posible obtener conversiones m\u00e1s altas que las que marca el equilibrio termodin\u00e1mico.Finalmente, ha sido estudiado los mecanismos de reacci\u00f3n de descomposici\u00f3n nh3 sobre la superficie de los catalizadores mono-met\u00e1licos soportados, empleando las t\u00e9cnicas: tap, h2\/d2 intercambio isot\u00f3pico y
