Mdhdm es un m\u00e9todo de desarrollo de hipermedia basado en el modelado de procesos y la ingenier\u00eda dirigida por modelos.  la conjunci\u00f3n de hipertexto y multimedia, por un lado, y la popularizaci\u00f3n de la web, por otro, generaron desaf\u00edos que los m\u00e9todos tradicionales no eran capaces de resolver. Entre ellos destaca el dise\u00f1o y control de la navegaci\u00f3n por espacios complejos de informaci\u00f3n, que ha llevado a los m\u00e9todos de dise\u00f1o de hipermedia y de la ingenier\u00eda web a presentar el modelo navegacional como la gran diferencia frente a los m\u00e9todos tradicionales. Sin embargo, en la mayor\u00eda de los casos el modelo navegacional se deriva de los modelos estructurales.  en mdhdm el eje central del modelado conceptual lo constituye el modelado del proceso de negocio, debido a que permiten representar la naturaleza din\u00e1mica de la realidad. El modelo navegacional de mdhdm est\u00e1 compuesto por las estructuras navegacionales derivadas del modelos de proceso y que son llamadas vistas navegacionales y enlaces fuertes. Este modelo se complementa con las estructuras navegacionales derivadas del modelo estructural compuesto por clases navegacionales, estructuras de acceso y enlaces d\u00e9biles.  en mdhdm se definen los metamodelos, transformaciones y marcas para poder generar autom\u00e1ticamente el modelo navegacional a partir de los modelos de proceso y estructural. Adem\u00e1s, se comprueba la correcta construcci\u00f3n de los modelos a trav\u00e9s de restricciones ocl.  los pasos siguientes al dise\u00f1o navegacional: el dise\u00f1o de la interfaz abstracta de usuario y la implementaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n se abordan. Del primero se proporciona un metamodelo y para la implementaci\u00f3n se han tratado algunos modelos espec\u00edficos de la plataforma.
