Una actividad secundaria del cs puede ser  un efecto antiinflamatorio provocado por quelaci\u00f3n de metales de transici\u00f3n o por secuestro de ros. Hay evidencias que relacionan directamente  la presencia de gag con una disminuci\u00f3n en la producci\u00f3n de citoquinas por la v\u00eda nf\u00c2\u00bfb en condrocitos este trabajo tiene por objetivo estudiar el efecto del condroitin sulfato en modelos de isquemia y neuroinflamaci\u00f3n desarrollo del trabajo y metodolog\u00eda los modelos experimentales utilizados han sido: generaci\u00f3n de radicales libres por la mitocondria tras el bloqueo de la cadena respiratoria, y por adici\u00f3n de radicales ex\u00f3genos en c\u00e9lulas; un modelo de neuroinflamaci\u00f3n en astrocitos; un modelo de isquemia en odajas de hipocampo sometidas a privaci\u00f3n de ox\u00edgeno y glucosa, y por \u00faltimo una isquemia global en jerbos. aportaciones de car\u00e1cter gen\u00e9rico o experimental las principales aportaciones de este estudio son la comprobaci\u00f3n de: la neuroprotecci\u00f3n que ejerce el cs en los modelos de estr\u00e9s oxidativo e isquemia tanto in vitro como in vivo. Adem\u00e1s como parte del estudio del mecanismo del cs, se pudo comprobar su relaci\u00f3n con la inducci\u00f3n de la enzima antioxidante ho-1 y la v\u00eda pi3k\/akt, as\u00ed como la inhibici\u00f3n de la v\u00eda del factor nuclear nf\u00c2\u00bfb y su relaci\u00f3n con inos y la produci\u00f3n del no.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
