Estos m\u00e9todos son aplicables a cualquier tipo de datos, siendo dos de ellos de nuevo desarrollo, mientras que los otros dos son una generalizaci\u00f3n de m\u00e9todos cl\u00e1sicos que eran \u00fanicamente aptos para datos continuos. As\u00ed se ha conseguido que sean \u00fatiles para variables mixtas. En segundo lugar, se ha desarrollado una nueva metodolog\u00eda para determinar tanto el n\u00famero (real) de clusters, como para detectar observaciones at\u00edpicas, sin importar el n\u00famero de grupos o el tipo de variables. Tambi\u00e9n se ha elaborado un nuevo m\u00e9todo de cluster divisivo sin ning\u00fan tipo de restricci\u00f3n sobre el n\u00famero de objetos o tipo de datos, considerando el caso general de tener experimentos replicados. Finalmente se ha resuelto el tratamiento de las r\u00e9plicas en los denominados time course experiments realizados a lo largo de un periodo de tiempo corto y en los que interesa agrupar genes que se expresan de forma an\u00e1loga. Todos estos resultados se han podido aplicar a ejemplos reales de las ciencias biom\u00e9dicas. Paralelamente se ha desarrollado el correspondiente software para la ejecuci\u00f3n de la nueva metodolog\u00eda, creando para ello un paquete, que hemos denominado dbmethods, dentro del software de
