Se pretende obtener materiales de alta capacidad reversible y con un elevado n\u00famero de ciclos de carga-descarga. Para su realizaci\u00f3n se han sintetizado compuestos intermet\u00e1licos de esta\u00f1o y cobalto, controlando el tama\u00f1o de part\u00edcula y la composici\u00f3n. Los materiales ob tenidos han sido caracterizados qu\u00edmica, estructural y morfol\u00f3gicamente, utilizando las siguiente t\u00e9cnicas: difracci\u00f3n de rayos x, espectroscopia m\u00ed\u00b6ssbauer de 119sn, microscopias electr\u00f3nicas de transmisi\u00f3n y de barrido, y an\u00e1lisis t\u00e9rmico. Asimismo, ha sido estudiado el comportamiento electroqu\u00edmico de los compuestos intermet\u00e1licos en celdas de litio, utilizando para ello m\u00e9todos galvanost\u00e1ticos y de espectroscopia electroqu\u00edmica de pasos de potencial, evaluando tambi\u00e9n la influencia del tama\u00f1o de part\u00edcula (micro y nanom\u00e9trico) sobre el comportamiento electroqu\u00edmico de dichos materiales.
