Tambi\u00e9n se han aislado a partir de esta esponja ocho compuestos pirr\u00f3licos de similar estructura descritos anterionnente en la bibliograf\u00eda. La elucidaci\u00f3n estructural de los nuevos productos se ha realizado mediante un exhaustivo estudio de los espectros de rmn mono y bidimensionales (lh-r\u00edvln, 13c-rmn, cosy, noesy, hsqc, hmbc), as\u00ed corno de los espectros de masas y, en su caso, mediante derivatizaci\u00f3n qu\u00edniica. Se ha evaluado la actividad citot\u00f3xica de los nuevos productos naturales obtenidos de m. Cecilia frente a un panel de doce l\u00edneas de c\u00e9lulas tuinorales humanas, mostrando todos los metabolitos actividad inhibidora del crecimiento en varias de ellas. La mayor\u00eda de los mycalazales mostraron actividad inhibidora del crecimiento de las l\u00edneas lncap (carcinoma de pr\u00f3stata), igrov (carcinoma de ovario) y sk-mel28 melanoma), con valores de 0150 en el rango 0.2-4.8 xg\/nil. Los mayores niveles de actividad se observaron frente a la l\u00ednea lncap, siendo el niycalazal-8 el compuesto m\u00e1s activo (0150 0.2 gg\/ml). el estudio de los octocorales lophogorgia peruana y leptogorgia laxa, ha llevado a la obtenci\u00f3n de nueve nuevos diterpenos con esqueleto de cembrano: lophodienona, lophodiol a, lophodiol b, 17 15,16-epoxilophotoxina, 17- acetoxi-l5,l6-epoxilophotoxina, isoepoxilophodiona, leptodienona ay leptodienona b. Tambi\u00e9n se han aislado a partir de estos octocorales siete compuestos conocidos: lophotoxina, rubifolida, lopholida, desoxilophotoxina, lophodiona, un derivado acetilado del lophodiol a y un derivado metoxilado del lohodiol b. La caracterizaci\u00f3n estructural de los nnevos productos se ha realizado mediante el estudio de los espectros de rivin mono y bidimensionales (ih-rmn, 13c-rmn, cosy, noesy, i-isqc, hivibc) y derivatizaci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica, as\u00ed como a trav\u00e9s de estudios de correlaci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica que han llevado a la obtenci\u00f3n de los an\u00e1logos semisint\u00e9ticos: 7-epi-lophodiol a, 8-epi-lophotoxina y 7-epi-7,8-di-o-acetillophodiol a. Varios de estos compuestos han mostrado actividad inhibidora del crecimiento en las pruebas de actividad citot\u00f3xica realizadas frente a las l\u00edneas de c\u00e9lulas tumorales humanas mda-ivib-23 1 (mama), a-549 (pulm\u00f3n) y ht-29 (colon), con la mayor\u00eda de los valores de 0150 inferiores a 5 gm.
