M\u00e1s concretamente los estudios se pueden dividir en dos bloques: an\u00e1lisis y mejora de predicciones estructurales de novo, y estudio del comportamiento de las cavidades en mulantes y modelos por homolog\u00eda.  en el primer bloque se han abordado tres puntos. El primero trata la identificaci\u00f3n de la familia estructural de un conjunto de predicciones de novo usando herramientas de comparaci\u00f3n estructural y sistemas de predicci\u00f3n basados en inteligencia artificial. El segundo trata sobre la caracterizaci\u00f3n de aquellas zonas en las predicciones que gozan de una mayor calidad. En el \u00faltimo punto de este bloque se usa la informaci\u00f3n obtenida en los dos puntos anteriores con el objetivo de mejorar la calidad inicial de las predicciones de novo utilizadas.  el segundo bloque, tal y como se ha mencionado, se centra en el estudio de elementos funcionales de las prote\u00ednas, m\u00e1s concretamente se tratan las cavidades, dado su importante papel y vinculaci\u00f3n con la actividad y funci\u00f3n proteica. Se ha estudiado en primer lugar el efecto de las mutaciones puntuales en la geometr\u00eda y composici\u00f3n de las cavidades de la lisozima humana; en segundo lugar se ha tratado como se degrada el patr\u00f3n de cavidades en los modelos por homolog\u00eda, a medida que la calidad de estos disminuye.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
