Se emplearon nuevos 1z,3e-dienilmetales de esta\u00f1o y boro para la s\u00edntesis estereoselectiva de 11-cis-retinal y an\u00e1logos. El acceso eficiente a este tipo de polienos biol\u00f3gicamente activos resulta de elevada importancia para comprender los mecanismos de la visi\u00f3n en los vertebrados. Se abordar\u00e1, por primera vez, el empleo de organosilanos (reacci\u00f3n de hiyama) a la s\u00edntesis estereocontrolada de retinoides. Las ventajas de estos organomet\u00e1licos, en lo que se refiere a su menor coste econ\u00f3mico, variedad de m\u00e9todos de s\u00edntesis descritos para su obtenci\u00f3n regio y estereoselectiva, y
