Se estudian sistemas de cobre soportado sobre zeolitas y y zsm-5, alumina, silice, silice-alumina, carbon activo y grafitos. Estos catalizadores se caracterizan mediante difraccion de rayos x, microscopia electronica de transmision, espectroscopia fotoelectronica de rayos x, espectroscopia infrarroja, espectroscopia de absorcion de rayos x, reduccion a temperatura programada y desorcion\/reaccion superficial de oxido nitrico a temperatura programada. Se realizan estudios de reaccion de descomposicion de no, y de reduccion con co, carbon y propeno. La actividad catalitica se relaciona con la estructura porosa, propiedades acido-base y presencia de grupos reactivos en la superficie de los soportes.
