M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de esta complementariedad, las relaciones se ampl\u00edan en el caso de la imagen fotogr\u00e1fica, frente a las im\u00e1genes sint\u00e9ticas, debido a su especial estatus como index. El di\u00e1logo entre ambos medios expresivos genera una alteraci\u00f3n mutua, tanto de las coordenadas espacio-temporales como de la noci\u00f3n de referencialidad: ni una fotograf\u00eda es s\u00f3lo un documento real ni un texto literario una ficci\u00f3n. Se observan estas relaciones en la obra de wright morris, duane michals y sophie calle mediante un elemento visual y conceptual caracter\u00edstico de cada uno de ellos -ventana, espejo y sombra- que
