Los primeros capitulos se dedican al marco teorico para identificar y delimitar los fines, objetivos y campos de accion de la educacion de adultos.  especial atencion merece el estudio historico, basado en el analisis de la legislacion especifica promulgada en nuestro pais desde el siglo xviii hasta la actualidad, epoca en la que se dedica especial atencion a la comparacion entre la normativa promulgada por las comunidades autonomas con competencias educativas y el resto del estado espa\u00f1ol.  en los siguientes capitulos se presenta el proceso metodologico seguido, que desemboca en la propuesta de un modelo de evaluacion institucional especifico para las citadas instituciones y su posterior aplicacion a distintos centros de las comunidades autonomas de andalucia, asturias y Madrid.  tras la descripcion y analisis de los datos obtenidos mediante la aplicacion de las oportunas pruebas estadisticas, se ofrecen las conclusiones de mayor relieve, asi como las sugerencias pedagogicas
