El ligando diciclopentadienilo empleado lleva a la formacion de dos estereoisomeros (cis-trans); se ha estudiado la posible interconversion de uno en otro obteniendo como resultado la transformacion en un complejo diferente en que el ligando diciclopentadienilo ha sufrido la ruptura de dos enlaces silicio-carbono y formacion de un enlace silicio-silicio. Se propone un mecanismo para explicar esta transformacion.  hemos estudiado la reactividad de los complejos en bajo estado de oxidacion frente a la sustitucion de grupos de carbonilo por grupos isocianuro, alquilacion y reaccion con peroxido de hidrogeno.
