Para ello, partiendo de una bentonita natural de la zona de cabo de gata, en almeria, se llevaron a cabo experimentos a distintas concentraciones de potasio, temperaturas y tiempos de reaccion. Se empleo un conjunto de tecnicas para analizar los productos de reaccion: analisis quimico, difraccion de rayos x, analisis termico diferencial y termogravimetria, infrarrojos y resonancia magnetica nuclear. En base a los resultados obtenidos fue posible encontrar la forma de la ecuacion cinetica de la reaccion, calcular los valores de su constante de velocidad, de la energia de activacion del proceso y el tiempo de conversion.
