Sin embargo, en ocasiones, estos materiales presentan ciertas similitudes en su apariencia, forma y\/o color que hacen insuficiente el empleo de estas im\u00e1genes. En contraposici\u00f3n, las im\u00e1genes hiperespectrales ofrecen informaci\u00f3n acerca del espectro lum\u00ednico reflejado por los mismos lo que permite una extracci\u00f3n de propiedades m\u00e1s precisa y con mayor poder discriminativo.  este trabajo presenta una metodolog\u00eda que permite la reducci\u00f3n \u00f3ptima de la alta dimensionalidad de estas im\u00e1genes hiperespectrales mediante t\u00e9cnicas bioinspiradas. De forma adicional, se integran las caracter\u00edsticas espectrales y espaciales de los elementos de la imagen, lo que permite obtener un descriptor combinado que caracteriza de manera m\u00e1s precisa las propiedades de los elementos contenidos en la imagen. El modelo te\u00f3rico para la clasificaci\u00f3n se ha validado mediante la utilizaci\u00f3n de muestras de materiales procedentes de residuos para reciclaje incrementando la fiabilidad de la clasificaci\u00f3n desde resultados inferiores a un 60% mediante la utilizaci\u00f3n de las caracter\u00edsticas espectrales  y espaciales por separado hasta un 98% a trav\u00e9s de la extracci\u00f3n
