Los estudios de relaci\u00f3n estructura-funci\u00f3n de los canales i\u00f3nicos se centran preferentemente en la maquinaria de apertura y cierre, insertada en la membrana plasm\u00e1tica. En esta tesis, se ha estudiado el papel del extremo amino citoplasm\u00e1tico de h-erg, particularmente extenso, en los mecanismos de apertura y cierre del canal, as\u00ed como en su regulaci\u00f3n hormonal. La hip\u00f3tesis de este trabajo es la supuesta interacci\u00f3n del citado extremo amino con el lazo intracelular s4-s5, propuesto asimismo como un elemento fundamental en la sensibilidad a voltaje del canal. en la primera parte de esta tesis se estudia el papel de los dos dominio citoplasm\u00e1ticos, el extremo amino y el lazo s4-s5, as\u00ed como la posible interacci\u00f3n entre ambos, sobre las propiedades de apertura y cierre de h-erg. En la segunda parte, se analiza la relevancia de dicha presunta interacci\u00f3n sobre la regulaci\u00f3n del canal por la hormona trh. Finalmente, en la tercera parte, se tratan de localizar las posibles interacciones intramoleculares entre el extremo amino y el lazo s4-s5. los resultados de este trabajo avalan la posible existencia de una interacci\u00f3n entre el extremo amino y el lazo s4-s5 de h-erg, que determina sus peculiares caracter\u00edsticas cin\u00e9ticas y que, adem\u00e1s, es fundamental para su regulaci\u00f3n hormonal. Nuestros datos postulan que dicha interacci\u00f3n se localiza, esencialmente, entre los 16 primeros amino\u00e1cidos aminoterminales de la prote\u00edna y la primera parte del lazo
