Nuestra hip\u00f3tesis es que los cambios en los casos gramaticales que se producen en la historia de una lengua se deben a conflictos en el analizador sint\u00e1ctico y que tienen su origen en un desajuste formal en el nivel del interfaz con la forma l\u00f3gica (lf): m\u00e1s concretamente, son desajustes entre la estructura sint\u00e1ctica y la interpretaci\u00f3n sem\u00e1ntica (de roles tem\u00e1ticos) que el hablante asigna a dicha estructura durante el per\u00edodo de adquisici\u00f3n ling\u00ed\u00bc\u00edstica. Para ilustrar esta hip\u00f3tesis, analizamos en detalle del surgimiento y la extensi\u00f3n de nuevos marcadores de caso en distintas construcciones del ruso antiguo y actual. Estos procesos comienzan con un estadio inicial de innovaci\u00f3n  en el nivel de la periferia ling\u00ed\u00bc\u00edstica, originalmente limitada a ciertos usos ling\u00ed\u00bc\u00edsticos, que era adquirida de manera irregular (por ejemplo, mediante adquisici\u00f3n tard\u00eda o de memoria). Posteriormente, las producciones ling\u00ed\u00bc\u00edsticas afectadas por esta innovaci\u00f3n resultan dif\u00edciles de interpretar por parte de los que adquieren la lengua, de forma que \u00e9stos terminan por reanalizar las estructuras afectadas. Finalmente, la nueva estructura se extiende a otros contextos, llegando por \u00faltimo a reemplazar la estructura antigua.
