El desarrollo se estudio en animales lactantes y adultos la diabetes se ha estudiado tras 20 dias de induccion de la misma en ratas virgenes, gestantes (al dia 20) y fetos ( de 20 dias). Hemos encontrado que tanto durante el desarrollo como con la diabetes, se produce la inhibicion de la sintesis global de proteinas en paralelo a la inhibicion del gef sin que se produzcan cambios en el estado de fosforilacion de la subunidad alfa del eif-2.
