La perspectiva de incluir todas las formas de aprendizaje: formal, no formal e informal supone un avance importante dentro del proceso de formaci\u00f3n permanente de las personas.  la universidad gestiona sus pol\u00edticas educativas ofreciendo, adem\u00e1s de nuevos modelos de planes de estudio, programas culturales e iniciativas que permitan su participaci\u00f3n activa en la sociedad, de forma que la imbricaci\u00f3n universidad-sociedad sea m\u00e1s efectiva e irreversible en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os. La m\u00fasica forma parte de la cultura.  esta tesis se propone conocer los modelos de gesti\u00f3n y organizaci\u00f3n de las actividades musicales desarrolladas por los vicerrectorados de extensi\u00f3n universitaria en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, analizando su implicaci\u00f3n con los modelos educativos formales y no formales. La muestra seleccionada est\u00e1 formada por un grupo de nueve universidades espa\u00f1olas: el g9. Los datos recogidos son de naturaleza cualitativa y cuantitativa. Desde una perspectiva etnogr\u00e1fica, utilizamos una metodolog\u00eda mixta y los resultados de la investigaci\u00f3n convergen en una s\u00edntesis que usa la triangulaci\u00f3n como recurso de
