Se han estudiado sus propiedades  electr\u00f3nicas, espectrosc\u00f3picas y su capacidad de coordinaci\u00f3n a centros met\u00e1licos.   se han preparado nuevos poliazaligandos is\u00f3steros de la fenantrolina y del 4,5-diazafluoreno. Estos compuestos representan el primer ejemplo de ligandos multidentados con un anillo de tiofeno en un sistema heteroarom\u00e1tico condensado polinuclear. Se ha realizado tambi\u00e9n un estudio de sus propiedades electr\u00f3nicas y de su facultad para actuar como ligandos polinucleares, comparando las propiedades de luminiscencia de los complejos met\u00e1licos formados.  se ha desarrollado una metodolog\u00eda, muy simple y eficaz, para la s\u00edntesis de tienopirimidinas mediante procesos domin\u00f3 aza-wittig\/adici\u00f3n nucle\u00f3fila intermolecular\/ciclaci\u00f3n intramolecular.
