La obstrucci\u00f3n ureteral unilateral (ouu) es un buen modelo para conocer las causas y mecanismos de la fibrosis tubulointersticial. Consiste en una obstrucci\u00f3n aguda y completa del ur\u00e9ter que mimetiza de forma acelerada los diferentes estados de la nefropat\u00eda obstructiva dando lugar a fibrosis tubulointersticial sin comprometer la vida del animal porque el ri\u00f1\u00f3n contralateral mantiene o incluso aumenta su funci\u00f3n por hipertrofia anat\u00f3mica y funcional compensadora. En la patog\u00e9nesis del da\u00f1o renal est\u00e1n involucrados procesos de migraci\u00f3n celular, acumulaci\u00f3n de matriz extracelular, apoptosis y proliferaci\u00f3n celular. Estos procesos est\u00e1n regulados por numerosas citocinas y factores de crecimiento que en respuesta al da\u00f1o se unen a sus correspondientes receptores de membrana tirosina kinasas, acopladas a prote\u00ednas g para producir sus efectos a trav\u00e9s de una serie de efectores. La peque\u00f1a gtpasa ras puede constituir un punto convergente en la transducci\u00f3n de se\u00f1ales extracelulares inducidas por el da\u00f1o renal, desde los receptores hasta el n\u00facleo, como la cascada raf-mapk-erk1\/2 y la v\u00eda pi3k-akt. En este trabajo se estudia el papel de la activaci\u00f3n de ras y de sus efectores erk1\/2 y akt en ratones c57\/bl6 en los cambios inducidos por la ouu a los 3 d\u00edas. Adem\u00e1s, se estudia el papel de las isoformas de ras; h-ras, n-ras, k-ras y k-ras4a en los cambios inducidos tras la ouu en ratones deficientes en las diferentes isoformas de ras.  este trabajo trata de ampliar el conocimiento de las rutas involucradas en la patog\u00e9nesis, fundamental para el desarrollo de estrategias terap\u00e9uticas que impidan o prevengan la progresi\u00f3n del
