Sin embargo, si se desea modelar, controlar y optimizar el proceso adecuadamente, es necesaria una descripcion cuantitativa que considere tanto los fenomenos biologicos propios de la sintesis de biomasa (estequiometria y cinetica) como los fenomenos fisicos asociados al transporte de materia y energia (fluidodinamica y transferencia de materia) y su interdependencia.  en el presente trabajo se pretende llevar a cabo el modelado de las columnas de burbujeo con recirculacion aplicadas a la produccion de masa celular, siendo la levadura, candida utilis, el microorganismo elegido para el estudio.  la metodolog\u00eda seguida consiste en deducir las relaciones estequiometricas, los parametros cineticos y los parametros fluidodinamicos y de transferencia de materia que, junto con las caracteristicas geometricas del biorreactor y las propiedades fisicas de los fluidos, permiten describir la variacion de las concentraciones de los compuestos mas relevantes en un proceso fermentativo, como son biomasa, sustrato, oxigeno disuelto y dioxido de carbono producido, sin necesidad de correlaciones empiricas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
