No obstante, se desconocen muchos aspectos relacionados con su mecanismo de acci\u00f3n. Con el objetivo de indentificar condicionantes de la respuesta tk\/gcv, realizamos un estudio comparativo de la expresi\u00f3n de genes y de las v\u00edas de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n que se activan en c\u00e9lulas sensibles y en c\u00e9lulas resistentes al tratamiento. As\u00ed, pudimos asociar la actividad de la quinasa chk1, y la expresi\u00f3n de genes involucrados en el control del ciclo celular, con una mayor respuesta al sistema suicida. As\u00ed mismo, determinamos que la combinaci\u00f3n de tk\/gcv con el inhibidor de chk1 ucn-01 produce un efecto antag\u00f3nico en las c\u00e9lulas sensibles a tk\/gcv. Por otro lado, la terapia combinada capaz de lisar las c\u00e9lulas e inducir muerte celular por fosforilaci\u00f3n de gcv, en un \u00fanico agente (icovir11), result\u00f3 en una potenciaci\u00f3n de sus efectos citot\u00f3xicos, permitiendo la compensaci\u00f3n de la p\u00e9rdida de potencia secundaria al uso de un promotor selectivo de tumor.
