the\u00c2\u00a0current\u00c2\u00a0decay\u00c2\u00a0after\u00c2\u00a0a\u00c2\u00a0quench\u00c2\u00a0has\u00c2\u00a0been\u00c2\u00a0modeled\u00c2\u00a0by\u00c2\u00a0a\u00c2\u00a0gaussian\u00c2\u00a0curve\u00c2\u00a0based\u00c2\u00a0on\u00c2\u00a0previous\u00c2\u00a0studies.\u00c2\u00a0the\u00c2\u00a0current\u00c2\u00a0 in\u00c2\u00a0order\u00c2\u00a0to\u00c2\u00a0evaluate\u00c2\u00a0the\u00c2\u00a0effects\u00c2\u00a0of\u00c2\u00a0magnet\u00c2\u00a0failures\u00c2\u00a0on\u00c2\u00a0the\u00c2\u00a0beam,\u00c2\u00a0particle\u00c2\u00a0tracking\u00c2\u00a0with\u00c2\u00a0variable\u00c2\u00a0magnetic\u00c2\u00a0fields\u00c2\u00a0has\u00c2\u00a0been\u00c2\u00a0 done\u00c2\u00a0using\u00c2\u00a0 the\u00c2\u00a0madx\u00c2\u00a0program. \u00c2\u00a0dipole\u00c2\u00a0 failures\u00c2\u00a0produce\u00c2\u00a0a\u00c2\u00a0closed\u00c2\u00a0orbit \u00c2\u00a0distortion\u00c2\u00a0 that \u00c2\u00a0can\u00c2\u00a0be\u00c2\u00a0easily\u00c2\u00a0determined\u00c2\u00a0 analytically.\u00c2\u00a0losses\u00c2\u00a0produced\u00c2\u00a0by\u00c2\u00a0dipole\u00c2\u00a0failures\u00c2\u00a0are\u00c2\u00a0generally\u00c2\u00a0localized.\u00c2\u00a0quadrupole\u00c2\u00a0failures\u00c2\u00a0lead\u00c2\u00a0to\u00c2\u00a0beta\u00c2\u00a0beating\u00c2\u00a0and\u00c2\u00a0 tune\u00c2\u00a0shift,\u00c2\u00a0which\u00c2\u00a0in\u00c2\u00a0the\u00c2\u00a0transverse\u00c2\u00a0plane the\u00c2\u00a0primary\u00c2\u00a0 losses\u00c2\u00a0at \u00c2\u00a0 the\u00c2\u00a0collimators\u00c2\u00a0can\u00c2\u00a0be\u00c2\u00a0described\u00c2\u00a0by\u00c2\u00a0a\u00c2\u00a0 function\u00c2\u00a0of \u00c2\u00a0exponential\u00c2\u00a0 nature, \u00c2\u00a0allowing\u00c2\u00a0a\u00c2\u00a0 fast \u00c2\u00a0characterization\u00c2\u00a0of \u00c2\u00a0 the\u00c2\u00a0 impact \u00c2\u00a0 from\u00c2\u00a0 the\u00c2\u00a0parameters\u00c2\u00a0of \u00c2\u00a0 the\u00c2\u00a0 function. \u00c2\u00a0dipole\u00c2\u00a0and\u00c2\u00a0quadrupole\u00c2\u00a0 failures\u00c2\u00a0lead\u00c2\u00a0to\u00c2\u00a0primary\u00c2\u00a0impacts\u00c2\u00a0that\u00c2\u00a0are\u00c2\u00a0not\u00c2\u00a0significantly\u00c2\u00a0different\u00c2\u00a0in\u00c2\u00a0shape\u00c2\u00a0or\u00c2\u00a0size,\u00c2\u00a0and\u00c2\u00a0in\u00c2\u00a0both\u00c2\u00a0cases\u00c2\u00a0faster\u00c2\u00a0failures\u00c2\u00a0 produce\u00c2\u00a0broader\u00c2\u00a0impacts.\u00c2\u00a0the\u00c2\u00a0average\u00c2\u00a0impact\u00c2\u00a0parameter\u00c2\u00a0for\u00c2\u00a0the\u00c2\u00a0cases\u00c2\u00a0studied\u00c2\u00a0ranges\u00c2\u00a0from\u00c2\u00a0less\u00c2\u00a0than\u00c2\u00a05\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00bfm\u00c2\u00a0to\u00c2\u00a0about\u00c2\u00a0
