El proyecto se desarroll\u00f3 en cuatro unidades tem\u00e1ticas. La preparaci\u00f3n de los fragmentos noreste (ne) y suroeste (sw) se efectu\u00f3 a trav\u00e9s de aproximaciones innovadoras, utilizando reacciones descritas (alquilaci\u00f3n de myers, hidrozirconaci\u00f3n de schwartz, acoplamiento negishi, olefinaci\u00f3n de tipo wittig y horner-emmons, etc), introduciendo modificaciones propias (reacci\u00f3n ald\u00f3lica de ti y esparte\u00edna entre intermedios funcionalizados) y desarrollando metodolog\u00edas nuevas (formaci\u00f3n de dobles enlaces exoc\u00edclicos a trav\u00e9s de la introducci\u00f3n y eliminaci\u00f3n oxidativa de selenuros de piridilo) para las transformaciones clave de la s\u00edntesis. el acoplamiento de los fragmentos principales se llev\u00f3 a cabo mediante una alilaci\u00f3n hosomi-sakurai in\u00e9dita entre un isoprenilsilano y un aldeh\u00eddo insaturado, activada por un alcoxiborano quiral en cantidad subestequiom\u00e9trica. Dos caminos distintos se consideraron para la macrociclaci\u00f3n (sakurai intramolecular y pmacrolactonizaci\u00f3n de yamaguchi y shiina), el endgame y la conclusi\u00f3n de la s\u00edntesis,
