En este estudio, a partir de muestras fijadas y cultivos obtenidos fundamentalmente en 2003 y 2004, se aborda la caracterizaci\u00f3n de la comunidad de criptofitas del estuario del r\u00edo nervi\u00f3n-ibaizabal. Las criptofitas estuvieron presentes en el 95 % de las muestras y obtuvieron la mayor importancia relativa hacia finales de primavera y principios de verano en las estaciones medias debido a las floraciones de hemiselmis (50-70 % del total de la comunidad) y en verano, m\u00e1s al interior, durante las mareas rojas de urgorri complanatus (hasta el 80 %). Los \u00fanicos taxones num\u00e9ricamente significativos, adem\u00e1s de los dos citados, han sido teleaulax spp. Y plagioselmis prolonga. En total, se han identificado16 especies pertenecientes a 11 g\u00e9neros, siendo \u00e9ste el estudio en el que m\u00e1s g\u00e9neros y m\u00e1s especies se han identificado de entre los realizados empleando microscop\u00eda electr\u00f3nica. Se han aislado dos nuevas especies, papilomonas tarda y u. Complanatus, que representan dos g\u00e9neros nuevos para la ciencia, una nueva especie de falcomonas, g\u00e9nero que hasta el momento era uniespec\u00edfico, y tres nuevas especies del g\u00e9nero teleaulax. Todas las especies han sido caracterizadas mediante an\u00e1lisis de ficobiliproteinas, microscop\u00eda \u00f3ptica y electr\u00f3nica de barrido y, adem\u00e1s, en los casos de p. Tarda, u. Complanatus y las cuatro especies de teleaulax se ha analizado la ultraestructura interna mediante cortes ultrafinos. Adicionalmente, en el caso de los dos g\u00e9neros nuevos, se realizaron an\u00e1lisis gen\u00e9ticos, que han revelado la singularidad de urgorri.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de
