Estaban formadas, principalmente, por grabadores que buscaban concienciar al p\u00fablico mediante un arte cr\u00edtico y social.  su periodo de actividad se extendi\u00f3 desde los a\u00f1os sesenta hasta principios de los ochenta y en ellas tuvo cabida una interesante diversidad de opciones pl\u00e1sticas cr\u00edticas, todas ellas ligadas, de un modo u otro con el realismo.  en esta t esis doctoral se ha analizado tanto la historia general de todos los grupos existentes (Madrid, sevilla, c\u00f3rdoba, vizcaya, Valencia, catalu\u00f1a y galicia) como su relaci\u00f3n con el contexto hist\u00f3rico en que se desarrollaron. Se estudian sus actividades e n el extranjero, en relaci\u00f3n con las protestas antifranquistas que se desarrollaron fuera de espa\u00f1a. Junto con eso se da cuenta de la recepci\u00f3n del trabajo de estos artistas en distintos \u00e1mbitos (cr\u00edtica especializada, el r\u00e9gimen, el partido comunist a y otros p\u00fablicos) y en diferentes momentos, que van desde los a\u00f1os sesenta hasta su fortuna cr\u00edtica actual. Con todo ello se pretende dar cuenta de una red de agrupaciones art\u00edsticas compleja y flexible, poniendo en cuesti\u00f3n muchos de los t\u00f3picos h eredados en relaci\u00f3n con su
