Esto se debe a una sociedad que todav\u00eda percibe con recelos todo aquello que venga del ej\u00e9rcito.  adem\u00e1s, la filmograf\u00eda espa\u00f1ola no ha producido films espec\u00edficamente militares durante toda la transici\u00f3n pol\u00edtica y buena parte de la democracia, que muestren los cambios de mentalidad, sin duda no muy diferentes, a los registrados en otras profesiones del pa\u00eds. El indudable peso de la historia, el trauma de la guerra civil, las necesidades pol\u00edticas de la espa\u00f1a auton\u00f3mica, y el pacifismo animado por la existencia del servicio militar obligatorio, dibujaron un rechazo hacia lo militar.  esta tesis pretende seguir, a trav\u00e9s de 37 largometrajes de ficci\u00f3n, la evoluci\u00f3n de la imagen de los militares espa\u00f1oles, desde la muerte de franco hasta el segundo triunfo socialista de jos\u00e9 luis rodr\u00edguez zapatero, por medio de un an\u00e1lisis individual -donde se manifiesta adem\u00e1s el rigor en la ambientaci\u00f3n- y tem\u00e1tico de pel\u00edculas donde aparecen militares, para finalmente presentar una conclusi\u00f3n que explique las dificultades que tiene hoy la cinematograf\u00eda
