El estudio pone al descubierto la vinculaci\u00f3n entre ambas materias profundizando sobre los aspectos comunes que las acercan. en l\u00edneas generales la tesis trata los siguientes temas: \tse introduce con el cuestionamiento del aspecto funcional y el valor art\u00edstico; con la exposici\u00f3n de distintos ejemplos de escultura utilitaria y de joyer \u00eda art\u00edstica recordamos que la funci\u00f3n pr\u00e1ctica es un valor que tambi\u00e9n posee la escultura, y que existe un tipo de joyer\u00eda que va m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de ser un simple adorno personal. \ten segundo lugar se refleja la evoluci\u00f3n que experimenta la joyer\u00eda en los siglos xx y xxi, y se presenta una rama de la joyer\u00eda muy pr\u00f3xima a la escultura: la joyer\u00eda escult\u00f3rica realizada por joyeros. \ta continuaci\u00f3n destacamos nuevas afinidades entre escultores y joyeros en cuanto a la manera de hacer, ya sea siguiendo l os dictados del arte conceptual o a trav\u00e9s de la materia y la experimentaci\u00f3n con ella, mediante la observaci\u00f3n de piezas de joyer\u00eda realizadas por j\u00f3venes creadores. \tse reflexiona sobre el concepto del tama\u00f1o y su repercusi\u00f3n en la obra: qu\u00e9 induce  al escultor a crear en una u otra escala; las proporciones en relaci\u00f3n al cuerpo humano; las ventajas y particularidades del trabajo en el formato m\u00ednimo. \ten el quinto cap\u00edtulo se analiza la labor de joyer\u00eda de determinados escultores confront\u00e1ndol a con su obra escult\u00f3rica. \tpara finalizar se incluyen distintas propuestas escult\u00f3ricas y de joyer\u00eda personales, a trav\u00e9s de la cuales se ponen en pr\u00e1ctica algunas de las cuestiones planteadas en la investigaci\u00f3n.  el fin \u00faltimo de este trabajo de i nvestigaci\u00f3n es contribuir a ampliar la visi\u00f3n que mayoritariamente se tiene de la joyer\u00eda, introduciendo nuevas perspectivas; con este estudio ofrecemos nuestra
