Los cristales l\u00edquidos columnares sintetizados consisten en un centro derivado de melamina a la que se le unen mediante enlaces de hidr\u00f3geno tres \u00e1cidos benzoicos con forma de v de manera que al apilarse den lugar a un sistema columnar. En caso de introducir centros estereog\u00e9nicos en las cadenas finales de los \u00e1cidos, esta quiralidad se transfiere a las columnas, form\u00e1ndose sistemas columnares helicoidales quirales.    en estos \u00e1cidos se introdujeron grupos azobenceno para hacer estos materiales susceptibles de reorientarse por acci\u00f3n de la luz; en concreto de lcp, de manera que la quiralidad de la luz se transfiere eficientemente a la estructura mesomorfa (cristal l\u00edquido), pudi\u00e9ndose modular la quiralidad natural del material, o incluso pudi\u00e9ndose inducir quiralidad a partir del sistema aquiral (en caso de que no se hubieran introducido centros estereog\u00e9nicos en la estructura).    se han sintetizado otros sistemas covalentes pero capaces de establecer enlaces de hidr\u00f3geno entre las mol\u00e9culas de manera que se transfiriese la quiralidad a la mesofase de manera eficiente y que tambi\u00e9n fueran capaces de formar geles y de responder al est\u00edmulo luminoso circularmente polarizado.    tambi\u00e9n se ha establecido un juego de interacciones no covalentes de manera que, uniendo los centros de melamina y \u00e1cidos en distintas proporciones se diera lugar a sistemas de tipo columnar capaces incluso de albergar cationes, no perdiendo la capacidad de ser modificada su quiralidad por acci\u00f3n de la luz.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
