La migra\u00f1a presenta una etiolog\u00eda compleja en la que m\u00faltiples genes de predisposici\u00f3n interact\u00faan con factores ambientales. Las causas y los mecanismos precisos capaces de desencadenar los episodios son a\u00fan bastante desconocidos. En este trabajo se ha investigado la participaci\u00f3n en la susceptibilidad a las formas comunes de migra\u00f1a o a alguno de sus subtipos cl\u00ednicos principales, la migra\u00f1a sin aura (mo) y la migra\u00f1a con aura (ma), de 45 genes candidatos mediante estudios de asociaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica de tipo caso-control de 255 variantes polim\u00f3rficas, seleccionadas principalmente en base a criterios de cobertura gen\u00e9tica. El estudio de polimorfismos sin\u00f3nimos del gen esr1 y una inserci\u00f3n alu del gen prg no apoyan la participaci\u00f3n de estos genes en la migra\u00f1a. Se han estudiado 19 genes relacionados con el sistema de neurotrasnmisi\u00f3n serotonin\u00e9rgico y se han identificado haplotipos de riesgo en los genes htr2b y maoa para mo, y en el gen ddc para ma. El an\u00e1lisis de 9 genes del sistema dopaminergico ha permitido identificar asociaciones significativas con los genes drd2 y th pero estos resultados no se han replicado en una segunda poblaci\u00f3n. Finalmente, se ha estudiado la participaci\u00f3n en la migra\u00f1a de 15 genes nunca estudiados anteriormente que codifican prote\u00ednas implicadas en la regulaci\u00f3n de la neurosecreci\u00f3n. Se ha identificado un haplotipo de riesgo para mo en el gen cplx2 y una variante de riesgo para ma en el gen nsf. Estos resultados est\u00e1n pendientes de ser replicados en una nueva muestra independiente de caracter\u00edsticas similares a la inicial.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
