presentamos consta de una edici\u00f3n completa de la obra de lugo y d\u00e1vila \u00abteatro popular\u00bb, con su correspondiente criterio de edici\u00f3n y notas explicativas. se inicia con un biograf\u00eda del autor, tema hasta hoy bastante desconocido,  y con una relaci\u00f3n pormenorizada de las ediciones conservadas del teatro popular y el resto de las obras de este autor. estudiamos los preliminares de la obra, que como nota novedosa, nos encontramos con una introducci\u00f3n que no es un mero pr\u00f3logo ex plicativo, sino un peque\u00f1o tratado de preceptiva literaria, basado en la po\u00e9tica de arist\u00f3teles, sobre que es la novela su formaci\u00f3n y desarrollo. en sucesivos apartados estudiamos los argumentos, y hacemos un an\u00e1lisis cr\u00edtico de los temas tratados e n  cada novela. exponemos una teor\u00eda sobre la novela corta desde los or\u00edgenes, hasta su formaci\u00f3n y desarrollo en el siglo de oro. se acompa\u00f1a de unas conclusiones
