El trabajo esta dividido en cinco capitulos. El primer capitulo pretende ser una aproximacion a la persona y la obra de karol wojtyla. En el segundo capitulo se aborda el tema de las estructuras ontologicas del ser humano que hacen de la persona un sujeto capaz de amar. El capitulo tercero esta consagrado al analisis de la tendencia sexual y de la norma personalista que constituyen la base ontologica y axiologica respectivamente del desarrollo del amor. El capitulo cuarto esta dedicado a la investigacion del dinamismo del amor en tres aspectos: metafisico, psicologico y etico. Finalmente, en el capitulo quinto se somete al examen el amor esponsalicio como la mas especifica forma del amor entre personas de sexo opuesto.  la esencia de dicho amor consiste en la mutua donacion
