Tomando como referencia la combretastatina a-4, durante los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os se han realizado modificaciones en ambos anillos arom\u00e1ticos y en el puente.  \tla disposici\u00f3n cisoide de los anillos arom\u00e1ticos es una de las caracter\u00edsticas estructurales clave para mantener la actividad antimit\u00f3tica en estos compuestos. En este trabajo se han seguido dos estrategias diferentes para conseguir este objetivo:  \u00c2\u00bf\tsintetizar an\u00e1logos macroc\u00edclicos de combretastatina, que adem\u00e1s restringen la movilidad de los anillos arom\u00e1ticos. \u00c2\u00bf\tobtener compuestos con estructura de 1,1-diarileteno, is\u00f3meros de combretastatina que poseen la ventaja de no sufrir isomerizaciones cis-trans.  en todos estos compuestos se ha mantenido la presencia de un anillo de trimetoxifenilo, y se han introducido variaciones en el segundo anillo arom\u00e1tico.
